Fortune Honing Guide | 068MJ817A.

The Fortune Honing Guide (068MJ817A) is an essential tool for any woodworking enthusiast or professional. It simplifies the process of achieving sharp and precise edges on plane irons and wood chisels. The guide’s stepped jaws are designed to accommodate both plane irons and wood chisels, making it a versatile addition to your workshop. To use this guide effectively, ensure that the roller rotates smoothly and remember to clean and oil it after each use to maintain its performance. For plane irons, use the wider jaws, projecting them 50mm (2 inches) from the edge of the jaws for a 25-degree angle. When working with wood chisels, switch to the narrower jaws, and project them 40mm (1-5/8 inches) from the edge of the jaws for a 25-degree angle. For a 30-degree angle, project them 30mm (1-3/16 inches) from the edge of the jaws.
